Covation Center invests $1.5 million in local small businesses over five years
After five years of investing more than $1.5 million into north central and central Pennsylvania small businesses, the Covation Center in Downtown Williamsport is ready to celebrate.
We are celebrating our five-year anniversary with five free coworking days at our CoWorking Center in Downtown Williamsport from August 1 to 5. Join us at the Center for free desk space, high-speed internet, coffee and snacks.
The week will culminate with a celebration on Friday, August 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Games, prizes, cake and beverages will be provided.
“This has been an interesting five years for small businesses. We started the Covation Center helping businesses leverage a growing economy,” said Dr. Steve Brady, the Covation Center’s founder and executive director. “Then we helped over 500 businesses navigate the rough waters of COVID. And now we are working with them to overcome supply chain challenges and inflation not seen in decades. We consider ourselves blessed to be able to provide these services to our neighbors and our community.”
Since its inception in 2017, the Center’s mission has been able to provide consulting support, business coaching, strategic planning and much more to budding small businesses.
The Center offers three primary services to the community: coworking space for remote workers, free business tips through video how-to's, and a 10-week business growth MasterClass for business owners. These are only a few examples of the services offered at the Covation Center that align with the “Three C’s” of Coaching, Coworking and Community.
Over 170 Pennsylvania businesses have participated in the MasterClass just in the last three years. The class is funded through the Engage! Grant from PA Department of Community and Economic Development and provided free of charge to small businesses.
Through the many business consultants working with the Center, we are proud to offer over 100 years of business experience.
“Over the past five years we have built a strong team of staff and experts all focused on the mission of helping small businesses grow,” said Brady. “All the success for these businesses belongs to them–they are growing their business! We are excited to have been able to simply coach them through this. I am excited for the next five years as we continue to support the economic growth of our community and our state through all seasons.”
