Toxic Charity Discussion Group

February 25, 2020 @ 7:30 am - 8:30 am

Free

“Giving to those in need what they could be gaining from their own initiative may well be the kindest way to destroy people.”  Robert Lupton, Toxic Charity
Do you consider yourself a charitable person?  Sometimes charity has unintended consequences that can be toxic to the individuals we seek to serve.  Toxic Charity, by Robert Lupton provides a framework for reimagining what charity could be, in order to make a long term impact in a community.

Beginning on Feb. 25th, we’re meeting every other Tuesday from 7:30-8:30am, to discuss challenging topics from the book.  (Feb. 25, March 10, 24, & Apr. 7)
There’s no cost to participate, aside from providing your own copy of the book.  This book can be purchased at Otto Bookstore in downtown Williamsport.  Register through the “Register Now” button to the right.

BE ONE OF THE FIRST 10 PEOPLE TO REGISTER AND GET A FREE COPY OF THE BOOK!

You must also attend the first or second session to recieve a free copy of the book.

This event is funded in part through a grant from the Williamsport Lycoming County Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania.
