How Kiva Works
How Kiva Works
1. Apply for loan
Application takes 20-30 mins and asks you basic financial information about you and your business.
2. Wait for approval
Once your application has been submitted, Kiva will review your application which can take from 1-3 weeks.
3. Fundraise for your loan
Invite your community to crowdfund for your loan to prove your creditworthiness. Kiva then will make your profile public on their website so lenders from all over the world can also support your loan.
4. Wait for disbursal
Once you succeed your fundraising period, you will wait for Kiva to disburse your loan to you!
5. Repay your loan
Repayment may start between 1-6 months after you receive your loan.
6. Repeat!
